The Bible Bus Project 2021

A project of Change Agent Network, Inc.

Throughout the seven plus years CSM has been in Acadiana, we’ve shared the mission, ministry and impact of Founder Eric Wowoh and CAN, Inc. in Liberia, and so we are thrilled to share their new project to equip Liberia with bibles! Will you help?

MISSION

To send 6,000 Bibles to our brothers and sisters in Christ living in rural Liberia, West Africa, who are in great need of the word of God.

THE NEED FOR BIBLES

Students, teachers, and staff and over 80% of the people we serve, particularly in rural Liberia, do not have access to a Bible let alone have a Bible of their own.

This is our greatest opportunity to share our faith, the greatest gift and hope we have as Christians, the Word of God with forgotten rural schools, churches, communities, Bible study groups, youth and child ministries, college ministries (e.g.Young Life) and even businesses!

WHY BIBLES?

During the heat of COVID-19 in Liberia, all churches were shut down for more than half a year. At the end of November 2020, the people in the communities and schools we serve came to me and said, “Brother Eric, we truly appreciate everything you and our American brothers and sisters have been doing and continue to do for us by giving us education, food, shipping containers, building schools, health support and so on and so forth. Please, we want to plead with you and your partners in America to kindly ship us some Bibles so that we can read the word of God for ourselves and better understand God’s plans and purpose for our lives. This is our number one urgent and important request for 2021.”

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE BUS ITSELF?

The bus itself is very important. This bus in particular is headed to the Wyatt School in the northeastern part of Liberia. It is in a more rural area and students have to walk very long distances to get there, some being harassed and harmed on their way to school. The school has one bus currently, but it is overworked and makes three runs each day. This needs to change; thus began The Bible Bus Project!

BIBLES NOT ACCESSIBLE NOR AFFORDABLE

The cost of a paperback Bible in Liberia is $10.00, and the average person earns $3 per day so it is not affordable. In addition, there are no bookstores in rural Liberia where people can buy themselves a Bible.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT

Join the movement by PRAYING, sharing, talking about and sponsoring Bibles for $5 a piece! One person cannot do this, but God can do anything when we come together! As the Bibles are sponsored for $5 each, $2 will go towards the cost of shipping. Shipping has nearly doubled since Covid. So, please join us in praying that God will provide sponsors for 6,000 BIBLES in the next month!

WHERE SPECIFICALLY WILL THESE BIBLES GO?

The Bibles will go specifically to the schools and communities that we built and operate in rural Liberia and students who participate in Young Life and Campus Fellowship in our schools. We are talking about the over 50,000 people across the country that we serve.
