New website company’s giving vision
Brandy Arnett has worked in the Acadiana website industry for over 8 years. In September, she decided to take a leap of faith and go into business for herself. Her father, a local oilfield business owner, always instilled the value of giving back to the local community. His belief of doing good, for no other benefit than just to do good is something that Brandy took to heart, and was something that she wanted to be a driving principle for her new business to be founded on.
In alignment with this vision, one of the first initiatives during the launch of Vibrandt Media was the idea of giving away a website every year to a local non-profit. Running with the idea, Brandy opened nominations for Acadiana based non-profits to individuals on Facebook.
During the nomination process, Faith House of Acadiana was nominated. Of all the non-profits nominated, Faith House’s mission tugged at Brandy the most. Her husband, a City of Lafayette Police Officer, spends his career intervening with domestic violence calls daily. Brandy decided that helping Faith House could be her way of using her talents to help the same cause.
With nominations closed, Vibrandt Media selected Faith House to receive their first annual Grant for Good. Faith House is receiving over $6,000 in website services from Vibrandt for the design and build of a brand-new website, along with an additional $1,200 each year in hosting and maintenance for the website. Faith House will never pay a penny to Vibrandt for the build or hosting of their website. Vibrandt has also worked with Google to secure Faith House an additional $10,000 a month in free advertising on Google.
Brandy believes that if you give back to those doing good work, you’ll be rewarded in way more ways than you ever could imagine.
