As a mortgage loan officer, I am passionate about what I do—being able to help people achieve the American Dream of owning a home, and working with the Veteran community to provide our active service military and veterans with convenient, hassle-free mortgage options. I love to also help first-time buyers, current homeowners looking to buy a new home, refinance an existing home, and investors. My access to many mortgage loan programs including VA, USDA Rural Development, FHA, and Conventional loans is a bonus for my clients. Each client is a priority, and each loan is taken seriously, so I take as much time is needed to answer all questions they have—no reason to rush! Prompt replies and frequent communication are important.
By far, my favorite part is assisting clients with home financing needs. Whether helping first-time or current homeowners, daily I get to connect with people. Educating them and walking through the steps on the mortgage process, I get to provide them with the wealth of knowledge I have, and make sure they have been informed and educated, understanding what loans they are eligible for.
Each client or referral source allows me the opportunity to build professional and friendly relationships—so very important to me. I thrive off meeting new people and constructing long-term friendships and business connections.
Every day is different, and every mortgage file is different—meaning I am always being challenged. I must be certain to be up-to-date and polished on the industry standards and changes. Being current on all things mortgage-related allows me to continue educating myself, so I can provide my clients with the best experience and information.
Most of my business comes from repeat clients or referrals. This is very high on my list of priorities. My work ethic is something I do not take lightly. Honesty, integrity, humility, and accountability, among others, are key. Doing the right things, always, even if no one is watching. My integrity is seen as one of the most important ingredients of trust.
Although the workdays can be long and busy, I enjoy that it allows my schedule to be flexible. There are days that I meet my clients in-person at my office, and I also love that I can work remotely from my home office and be available to work around my children’s school schedules.
When I sit and reflect on my career, the relationships I have built, and my life with my family, I am very happy and satisfied! I love being a Mortgage Loan Officer and Broker, and I love working hard every day for my clients, referral sources and my family.
