“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope…Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. Never pay back evil with evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God.” (Romans 12:9:12 NLT )
Is there a person or circumstance you have blamed for the way your life has turned out? How could accepting responsibility for your response to that person or situation set you free? Is there someone who has wronged you or vice versa and you are trying to make them pay for the offense? What is holding you back from forgiving that person, releasing them from their debt? You holding to all this anger and bitterness, how is it affecting your relationship with God? In the end the only thing that matters is you getting it right! You sending a text, a letter, email or even “Hello” when you cross one another’s path can be the starting. Please God and healing the relationship will follow.
